Royal Wedding Party
On Thursday 17th May children, staff and parents celebrated the upcoming Royal Wedding with a traditional Street party held in the playground. The children, aged from 3 to 11 years old, came dressed in their finest clothes ready to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan.
A wedding ceremony was conducted with Hendrix McNamara (Year 2) and Ali Ali (Year 5) playing the very important roles of Prince Harry while Alycia Moore (Year 2) and Rachel Sells (Year 5) played the part of Meghan Markle. The 2 Meghans were walked down the aisle amongst the congregation by PPA teacher Mr Rob Szlaz and the ceremony was officiated by Year 1 teacher Mr Mick Whitaker. With the children, staff and parents onlooking a great cheer was let out when the royal couples were married!
Then followed a wedding breakfast fit for a King! The children sat at tables decorated in red, white and blue with union Jack centre pieces and feasted on crisps, juice, cakes, biscuits and of course, cucumber sandwiches! The wedding breakfast was followed up by a disco on the playground where staff and children were seen dancing! A great time was had by all.
