 The prefix ‘in-‘means ‘not’ when you add it to a root word.

inefficient -- ‘inefficient’ means ‘not efficient’

The prefix ‘in-‘ sometimes changes to ‘il-‘, ‘im-‘ or ‘ir-‘.

Today, you will be looking at using articles.

Articles are words ‘a’, ‘an’ and ‘the’. They go before nouns. You use ‘a’ or ‘an’ for general things and ‘the’ for specific things.

I have a car.    I have the best car in the world.

Use ‘a’ when the noun starts with a consonant sound – We need a break.

Use ‘an’ when the noun starts with a vowel sound – There was an accident.
