Summer Fun Activities
Below, you will find lots of ideas to help keep busy through the summer holidays. There are things to do 'outdoors' if the weather is nice, and things to do 'indoors' if it is not.
Remember to keep reading - see below!
Well this is our last week of school for this term. It has been different in lots of ways, not only for school, but for our families also. Year 1 was cut short just as we were all doing so well and many of us didn't get to say a proper goodbye. So, I would like to start by saying what an amazing class you are. You all worked so hard and learnt so much in the time we had. Writing your reports made me think of each of you and how much you have achieved. It made me think of the times we had together on our class trips, the Christmas play, our dressing up days and our Valentine's Disco. I especially remember our guided reading and class stories that you all enjoyed so much.
It would be nice if you wanted to write something about your favourite memory of Year 1. You might want to make a 'See You in September' message for your friends. Maybe you could draw or paint a picture to go with it. If you can, ask an adult to take a picture and send it to Mrs Welch at the school and we will put it on our web page.
All I want to say for now is, enjoy your summer holidays, stay safe and know that all the teachers will be waiting when you come back!
All the best!
