School Office Manager

The Governors, staff and children at Sacred Heart RC Primary School are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Business Manager to join our team. At present we have 232 children on roll aged between 3 and 11 within our School and Nursery.

The School Business Manager is a key member of the staff team who makes a huge contribution to the smooth and efficient running of the school. The role will involve managing the school administrative function, including being responsible for or having delegated authority over Finance, Human Resources, Health and Safety and Data Management. The right person for this role must be organised, an expert at prioritising and multitasking and be a clear and effective communicator. You will have experience of working in a busy school office including a thorough knowledge of FMS and SIMs and must support the Catholic Ethos of the school.

Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) or equivalent administrative experience in a school setting 
5 GSCEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above
Higher Level Qualification in School Business Management
Experience of working in a school environment 
Experience of Estate Management including Health & Safety Compliance 
Experience of using SIMS and Finance 6 
Experience of using Microsoft Office Products including significant experience of excel 
Experience of HR systems such as Payroll and Oracle 
Preparation of reports, letters and documentation 
Experience of Safeguarding Requirements including the Single Central Record 
Understanding of School Governance
Experience of using CPOMS, Parentpay, Teachers2Parents 
Strategic development of income generation including grant submissions and LCVAP bids 
Ability to mentor and train other business managers 
Ability to project manage teaching staff consultant contracts
