Year 5 have been reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.  They watched a version of the film and noticed that the story content was slightly different in each.  We are currently writing our own versions of A Christmas Carol.  They were also treated to a Theatre company who performed Oliver Twist. Year 5 were very excited about this as it was set around the same time A Christmas Carol was.

We had a lovely visit to the Cinema to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  It was very funny!

This week, the children have been learning about fractions in maths. If you could ask them questions about these linked to everyday life, that would be great.

For example:

A cake is shared between 6 people, what fraction would they each get?
