Spring 2 2018
Roman Invasion at Sacred Heart
The children in Year 3 came back to school with a surprise visitor from the past. A Roman soldier cam into the school to tell the children all about his life back in Roman times.
The children were allowed to dress up in Roman armour including a helmet, learn how to use a Roman sword and shield and also find out how the Roman's managed to march in formation.
Below are some of the photos taken during the visit and also a video taken of the children learning how to march.
Science and British Values Week
This half term saw Sacred Heart holding a theme week for Science and British Values. The children learnt about how a Government is formed, where the Prime Minister lives and why we have rules. The children also took part in lots of different science experiments including finding the best materiel to look after and egg, finding the best rocket fuel, making hover crafts, making lava lamps and lots of other exciting activities.
Below are just a few of the photos taken during the week.
